Today,  Ill probably be out checking out the streets of NY seeing where my next inpiration is coming from. For me going outside window shopping gets me hyped and makes me want to keep creating great designs. Right now i'm focused on my men's line I really want them to have great jewels because there's just something about a man with nice jewelry.Tthere's a certain kind of confidence there and that's refreshing. So today is a man hunt lol.

Hey everybody, Today is a good day its my babys 18th birthday Yeeaahhh!!!! No, not A baby, MY baby! He is the last of our children. i gave him a collection of men's accessories from myqpdoll men's line for his birthday oddly enough he loved it. Of course he still wanted jordans and video games lol! what teenage young man doesn't but he loved what he got and even promoted it at school. As a young man gearing up to be a ladies man (Male supermodel!) is very important so why not start him off with a GOOD! set of accessories. "Back up off me ladies,don't love me like you do" (in my keenan ivory wanan voice)

I am so excited about the store open and the look of the store Nyoil has built a fantastic and elegant store all dolled up ( no pun intended lol!) Hey world it QPDOLL getting a late start on my blog today but here I am. 

So let me tell you how I was in Joann's this morning trying to get somethings for my accessories, plus Joann's is having a mean pattern sale on McCall's patterns. I'm talking about $ 9.99 and upwards to about $ 23.00 all going for $1.29. Now that's crazy for people that sew or are learning how to sew, it's a steal!

So I'm in the store and I see a young lady that has on a great pair of boots they were knee high fitted soft black leather with a little bit of platform in the front and a chunky heel. I said "I love your boots.." while we were waiting on line to make our purchases.  Her Mom, sister and brother were waiting behind me with her. Her sister says "I don't know how the hell she even walks in those things!''  I say to her "You got love shoes to understand! I'm always watching shoes and boots I design jewelry for boots etc." So she's like "Oh WoW that's great!" and she asks if I have a store, to which I reply "Yes www.myQPDOLL.com  and I just happen to have a piece with me!!!!'' (something my hubby told me to do)

I pulled out the one on the left side. And yes ladies this one is for sale and available... for now lol!!!

So as I'm talking I take out the piece, the sister and the mom are looking at the piece in awe and just as the sister says that's great, the mother snatches the piece of jewelry out of the daughter's hand and says ''If I were in the senior citizen's club I would put this right here!!" She places my beautiful boot belt right at Crotch level and starts thrusting her hips in and out.. LOL it was hilarious!!!  Now her daughters start screaming "Oh GOD MA!! OH GOD!!" We were laughing at the mother so hard I just turned and said ''You gotta luv her!''

The Basics

 So world, I'm watching Project Accessory (it's a new show modeled after Project Runway) and i think to myself: "I could have done this"..but then you start to hear about all the people (celebrities) that the designers have already designed accessories for and you think to yourself why are they even on this show???  They should already be established or on their way at least.  What about the designers that are just starting out? What about the ones that really have to use a lamp shade to make a hat, or a "movers blanket" to make a belt LOL! You know what i mean, some poor old girl or guy is using real nails and screws to make something stay together, they should be the ones that are on this Project Accessory show. I almost feel like it's rigged plus,I wouldn't fit in on this show I don't work good under pressure.

Designing for me is a pleasurable thing, it's my peace and serenity. I already have a "regular job" with lots of pressure and challenges (building gears for bridges and conveyors to carry crap etc) which is plenty enough pressure!! So for me making accessories is fun.

Of course, you want to be great at designing and recognized that you have a talent i'm quite sure you dream of being recognized to the street or at Fashion Week... I know I do and one day soon I will, but you don't want that pressure of maybe being told you ain't &^#$!!! Or your designs are just "OK" ... man i would be tight LOL! Well that's probably why I didn't apply for that show; anyway I have jewelry to make so i'll catch you later!

Where im going

Hey y'all its your girl Qpdoll,
Well let met tell you, I bought this great cape at a great price from a flea market that i was working, or well actually I was helping  my boy get his Flea Market hustle on.  I go out on Saturdays to Giant Stadium parking lot where they hold the flea market. I also take the opportunity to give my own product a run to see what's out there. But really the market is not a good spot for my product because it's extra-FLEA y'all lol.. it's like they want you to be giving your hard work and talent away, and that's not for me at all but it helps my boy so I go.

But, anyway back to this cape it started out at like $45 when i first got there and  i wanted it but couldn't pay that much at the time cause you already know money is tight lol!! So i waited until it was almost time to shut down for the day an low and behold, there was that cape with my name on it and I got it at 1/2 off!

Let me tell you why else the cape is great,  it's warm, that's the first thing. lol It's cute which is also a very important detail cause a girl can't be wearing a fly item and not take it all the way to the limit that's a no no!! So just to kick it up a notch (Emril style BAM!!)  I added some QP (as in QPDOLL ACCESSOIRES.. get hip fam!! lol)  and brought a whole new energy to the outfit. 

You can see a couple of my pieces on my wrist I'm rockin' QPDoll Accessoires Originals in 3 different styles. On my left wrist (pictured over here to the right) I have a chunky bangle made from resin with greyish black tones, and right above that I know you can't help but notice that I have an adjustable jeweled leather band bracelet. The jewel is a mixture of clear crystal and crystals with blue tones. On the right wrist (pictured above) I'm wearing a silver tone cuff with navy blue jeweled oval and a chain with dangling charm dipped with silver tones.and crystals. My earrings are made of silver tone balls and clear blue crystal balls in a chain style that pulls the blue off that awesome cape that I brought for $20.00 (yeah I had to throw that in your face again!!! LOL). Lots of beautiful pieces and one of a kind. The great thing is that the right set of accessories just picks up the overall value of your outfit. Accessories are jewelery for clothes if you ask me and I LOVE jewels!!!
